THE GIRL BEHIND THE SCREEN

The Girl Behind The Screen’ is a psychological thriller / horror centred around Ellie, a twenty year old girl who longs to be an influencer.

Ellie (Roxanne Ruby) battles with the self perceived mundanity of working at a local cafe by creating make-up tutorials online, yearning for the day she can finally live the ‘glamorous’ life as an influencer.

After a night of clubbing, Ellie’s best friend and co worker Natalie (Tahira Appadoo) convinces Ellie to dress up in cosplay and do a cutesy anime voice to post on social media.

The next morning, to Ellie’s shock and excitement, the video has gone viral and her follower count has skyrocketed. With her new found fame and notoriety Ellie decides to delete all her old videos and create the persona ‘Anime.Ellie’. A cutesy, fun loving, innocent E-Girl.

Ellie’s new found notoriety comes with many benefits, a friendship with other popular influencer Imi (Eve Conomos), invitations to exclusive parties and events, along with income from advertisements and brand deals. The fame and notoriety does come with a cost as Ellie finds out. Salacious rumours, broken friendships and the attraction of a violent murderous stalker will plunge Ellie into the fight for her online identity and her life.

The Girl Behind The Screen is written and directed by Lawrence Silver and is currently in post production.

THE THIN VALE

The Thin Veil is a psychological survival thriller about a vacation gone wrong leaving four friends shipwrecked on a seemly deserted island. While trying to survive, a threatening encounter will force each friend to come to terms with who they are and what they are truly capable of.
